Greg McNaughten's "What's Behind that Wall" Tour

On the last episode we talked to Greg McNaughten. When I posted the notes to that episode I meant to include these videos but it slipped my mind.

It's very fun to watch as Greg gives you a tour of Disneyland with a bit of the behind the scenes info that we often wonder about Disneyland.

You can hear Greg on the podcast on episode 15 and 23.

Also, his name is misspelled on YouTube not on this post. I checked.

Animated Show Needs Your Help!

Reposted from [adult swim] central:

Director of Metalocalypse, Jon Schnepp is currently working on developing an animated series based on the Zenescope Entertainment Comic Book, Grimm's Fairy Tales.

Here's a bit of info from the Kickstarter...

As you can see, Schnepp will be directing, with Titmouse (Metalocalpyse, Venture Bros.) producing. The Kickstarter also includes multiple tiers of donating with a HUGE variety of incentives including Titmouse, Dethklok, and Grimm's Fairy Tales swag (ONLY $98 FOR THE GRIMM BAG!!!!) There's even an incentive for those out there with huge pockets... get your likeness and/or voice (depending on how much you donate) into the series.

Also announced recently, Lena Headey (300, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Game of Thrones) will be lending her voice to the project, once it gets off the ground.

The drive has exactly two weeks remaining to reach its goal. You can find all of the information on the Grimm Fairy Tales Kickstarter page. $98 FOR THE GRIMM BAG!!!

How John J.'s Head Works (Musical Edition)

In a (probably hapless) attempt at writing another post on this blog...

This week, Guy and I chatted once again with Greg McNaughten (from Mice Cast and The Hub Podcast) about various topics. One such topic was about different music apps on iOS (for those not hip to the tech lingo, that's the operating system for iThingies... Phone, Pad, etc.)

Spotify came up in convo (as it had when Jim and I spoke of it originally in Sequence Three.) For those out of the loop, Spotify is a UK-based progam (similar to Pandora) where you can search for certain songs and listen to them. Of course the list is semi-limited... you can find common stuff played on the radio, but don't try to find anything by say The Beatles or Metallica... unless of course you like cover versions of songs, which there seem to be plenty of.

Spotify's available for both PC and Mac as well as on the aforementioned iOS (iPhone only for now... I tried downloading it to my new iPad, but anyone who knows Pads know that iPhone apps stay that size) and of course the non-iThingy programs... Android, et al. The "catch" (if you can call it that) is that the iOS version requires a $9.99 subscription... but personally, I think it's worth it. You can actually place songs into personal playlists AND have them saved magically (probably a cloud or something) offline for listening in non 3G/WiFi areas.

When I first started listening on Spotify last year, I started a personal list of songs that I found would get stuck in my head... aptly named "Stuck In Head." Here's the current list... of which some are probably soon to be (though they should have been ages ago) retired from the playlist...

  1. Living Color - Cult of Personality (for obvious CM Punk-related reasons)
  2. David Bowie - Let's Dance
  3. Guns N' Roses - Welcome to the Jungle
  4. Godsmack - Voodoo (Fact: I thought this was Alice in Chains for the longest time.)
  5. The Human League - Don't You Want Me (Special Extended Mix)
  6. The Alan Parsons Project - Sirius
  7. The Alan Parsons Project - Eye in the Sky
  8. Fall on Your Sword - Captain Of The Mount

  16. Daft Punk - Robot Rock
  17. Wolfmother - Joker And The Thief
  18. Blur - Song 2
